ABOUT THIS PRACTICE This album provides nine full practice plans of fun, active, and age-appropriate games. These games, over 30 in total, work as an engaging way to introduce young children to soccer and excite them about the sport. Games, which rarely repeat, foster comfort with the ball by encouraging lots of dribbling and movement. As every practice ends with a small-sided game, players also begin to learn some of the basic principles of passing, shooting, and teammwork. If possible, every player should have a ball to maximize their touches. Coaches should keep games moving quickly, with lots of breaks. Sessions should last about 45 minutes to an hour. |
